Mel is a retired Professor of Journalism, top lecturer, playwright and author of sevn books which are on humor. He has learned the secret of using humor in effective communications. His topic for the evening is "It's Never Too Late to Plant a Tree", his most recent book about how seniors can make their elder years productive and how to keep a sense of humor. This is the first of two parts of an educational program for caregivers and family members of persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The series includes information on the disease and the symptoms, planning for the future, and providing the best possible care while maintaining your own emotional and physical health.
